Gift Aid....
 

Last week my insurance company scewed up my renewal. So i was given £25 compensation. I didn' want the money only for the guy to be trained more.
So I donate it to Macmillan, and they ask do you want gift aid? Government tops up so it equates to £31.25. Who in their right mind wouldn't tick the box? If your donating to your preferred charity surely you want them to receive the most? Would anyone refuse and why?

I donate to Macmillan on a regular basis.
I make all kinds of greetings cards….write original verses for each one.
I do not sell these cards, but I ask those who want my creations to give me what they think the card is worth.
Whatever I get, every penny goes to Macmillan…..and yes, of course I gift aid my donations so that it boosts my gift

I have put pictures of my creations on here for you to see.
You cannot get cards like this in the shops.

Amazing creativity Marg P.. Cant remember how to like posts ,iwill eventually. Nice work and im sure your effective results will certainly help someone.

Odders, thank goodness for generous people like you and Margaret. Macmillans have benefitted greatly from the donations passed on to them because of Margaret’s cards and her generosity over the years and I am sure they have put this money to good use.

By the way, I have been the very fortunate recipient of several of Margaret’s beautiful productions on numerous special occasions. Definite keepers. Thank you, Margaret.

The reason that I don't tick the Gift Aid box is because I am not a tax payer.

Dorothy, thank you for your compliments on my creations…but my motives are selfish. I love making things that might just make people say ‘Wow’….and nothing beat a hand made card for getting brownie points.
