Starmer and the -erm syndrome
When the British press publishes a transcript of a Keir Starmer speech, do they include all the times he says "-erm"?
Because, by my count, he says "-erm" about every third word. You could create a pretty fair game by playing a 30 second clip and trying to accurately guess how many times "-erm" showed up. If you made it a drinking game everyone would wind up plastered! -Joe |

"Erm"?

Re: Starmer and the -erm syndrome
Just watch any segment where he is speaking in free form. It is incredible how many false pauses he fills with "-erm". Very poor public speaking IMHO

Re: Starmer and the -erm syndrome
Keir Starmer is not a prat, he is just a very poor leader and dangerous because he does not have a relevant idea in his head.
Not only that he is not listening to what the electorate require. He was a poor opposition leader. When the Labour Party were in opposition it seemed like they thought they had all the answers to what ails GB, but now in power, they haven’t a clue. They could tell the tories how to run the show, but now they cannot come up with the goods. They were all mouth. They do not seem to have the ability to build the foundations of growth that they seemed so keen to trumpet about. They have no grip on the illegal immigrants who come here and we are expected to support them with our taxes. Home them feed them, yet we take a paltry fuel allowance from our own pensioners. They cannot get a grip on crime…knife crime especially is rife in the capital. They want to trim 5billion pounds from the welfare budget and are setting their sights on long term sick when they should be removing foreign aid. How they would have howled if the tories had put plans forward to remove services from those who need them the most Their plan for growing the economy….raise the rates of NI contributions….really? They think this will stimulate growth? How? I am not an economist(but then neither is Rachel Reeves). But I can see this is not the way to foster economic growth or confidence. When they get to the end of their term in office, someone else will be left to clean up the economic bomb site that this government created. |

The IMF, World Bank, WEF and, no doubt, UN will be “invited in to “save” us all. Anyone noticed who currently runs Canada after their previous WEF puppetician, Trudeau, was finally made to step aside? Mark Carney - totally unelected, not even a member of Canada’s parliament - but a loyal WEF globalist “invited” (but not by the electorate) to keep the show running. This the guy whose legacy as chairman of the BoE was plastic bank notes and a gigantic growth in the UK ‘s borrowing, money printing, and, inevitably, National indebtedness beyond the country’s ability to repay. Just like a failed business, when a country is bankrupted the international bankers can move in. That’s the plan, it seems to me. |
Re: Starmer and the -erm syndrome
Yes of course because whoever has control of the money controls the people and that is what it is all about.
Population control. And I do not mean reduction in population, though that may come about as a by product. I mean controlling the freedoms of the population by stealthy means. Covid was an exercise in how far governments can scare their population into doing what governments want them to do…removing freedoms is the name of the game, they will try to fool us into believing it is for our own good. Yes I know that is all part of the much bigger global elite government ambition. I am pretty glad that I am at the bum end of my existence here. All that is coming is not going to be fun. |
Re: Starmer and the -erm syndrome
President Trump admired Starmer's English accent. Remember he is a guy from Queens, NY.
On the other hand I listened to his spoken words complete with six or seven "-erms" per sentence. I came to the conclusion that Starmer was just a dipstick with a clipped English accent. My conclusion was "No Thank you" Judging by Cashy's comment I might be right? |
