Did everyone get a valentine?

Well its 3 in the afternoon here and I was wondering if everyone got something for Valentines or is it only in the U S of A that its the second biggest gift day after Christmas?

I got so many cards Bazf that I had to hire a JCB to shift them from behind the door...:D

Seriously though, I did get 2 cards (both from Sparky) and a cd that I had been hankering for. All in all, better than my usual Valentines day.

Re: Did everyone get a valentine?

I have never ever had a valentine card or gift from my other half.
Today my daughter rang me and asked if her dad had bought me a valentine......I told her it would be a first, and if he had, I hadn't seen it. She said she was sure he had got me one because he had asked her to buy me a Michael Mc Donald CD as a gift......she told him that the new Michael Mc Donald CD would not be to my taste as it was all TAMLA stuff......she offered some suggestions but he didn't take her up on any of them. When we were out shopping yesterday in ASDA he mentioned that he had been about to buy the said CD......and daughter said 'no, mum won't like it'.....I told him that she was right.......so, no card and no gift.

I managed to get a dozen red roses delivered to my wife while she was teaching, the class loved it.

Even my eight year old son got a lovely cup with love hearts on and a card off his girlfriend, he gave her a bunch of flowers and a card, and I got some lovely roses!!:wub8:

I got home last night and found that I received exactly the same number of cards as last year, which by coincidence was the same number received the previous year. And the year before that......

Re: Did everyone get a valentine?

We agreed no cards this year; we went out for a meal instead, and left the kids with my mother for a few hours.

They watched Noggin for most of their time there, by all accounts.

It's not bad though - when we got back at around 9pm they had Ivor the Engine, and the Wombles!!!
