Wednesday Moan
Yep it's bin day again and it looks like I've moved and am residing on Whinny Hill Tip.

If they're expecting a Christmas Tip they've got another think coming.

Re: Wednesday Moan
I put my bin out this morning, God only knows how much will be left in it by teh time they collect it. Or even how far up teh estate it will have wandered.

Re: Wednesday Moan
I feel a phone call coming on. The council must get fed up of hearing from me.

Re: Wednesday Moan
Do we get to put additional bin bags out because of the Christmas period. I have heard we can have up to six, but can't find out if it is right or not. Anyone know.
Have to put the bin out in the morning, if this wind continues it could be anywhere by the time the refuge collecters come. It's terrible.

Re: Wednesday Moan
Just retrieved my wheelie bin from the bottom of the alley. There was dog muck all over the wheels so I've just had to clean it off. I know damn well that I haven't wheeled it through any poo. The only tip they'll be getting this year is 'watch where you're going.'

Re: Wednesday Moan
We had our wheelie bin nicked. So we ordered a new one sprayed our house number all over it and then a few weeks later someone kindly returned it to our back yard. (don't know why I added this comment almost completely off topic ; )

Re: Wednesday Moan
Have we been notified about Christmas collections? If we put the bin out on the wrong day they complain but if we don't put the bin out we'll be left with oodles of rubbish.

Re: Wednesday Moan
true. I don't think the money we pay out for council tax is put to proper use.

Re: Wednesday Moan
The collection dates were in the Observer last week. Also when we got our wheelie bin delivered in the summer it came with a list of collection dates until Dec/Jan 06. Suppose though if you ring up the refuge dept either tomorrow or after the Christmas break they should be able to tell you.

That sentiment is felt all over the country I think.
It is down here in the deep south, anyways!!!
