Re: poll ............august bank holiday weekend

Personally I'll be down the Cellar Bar in Blackburn, watching the plethora of mighty bands performing all weekend, and playing Saturday night myself along with the fantabulous Beat Milk Jugs who got the number one slot in this month's Future Music for their reader's submission. One not to be missed, they're coming over from Latvia to play (a couple of them live in Leeds, but the rest are coming a long way) - so if you like you're Electronic music (especially Underworld/Chemical Bros/Orbital), it should be a good night out.

If, however, your preference is guitar-based stuff then you'll not struggle to find some good music from the nearly 50 bands playing throughout the weekend - and as far as I know it's all gonna be free.

Support your local talent, join the revolution, get down the Cellar Bar over August Bank Holiday weekender and give it some! :)

I'd prefer the saturday as I am working on the Monday. I'm not bothered which pub it's at or what we do. It's just nice to get out.

Other pub I voted, How about Stanley Street!, easy to get to, cheap ale, people can wander in/out if they fancy a walk round town. I think they also get artists on.

Prefer Sunday as well so I can check Harwood Red's tan she will have from her holiday in Turkey's Dog Sh*te mountains.:D

Happy to go along with what the majority decide. Though stand by my statement that a pub crawl in Ossy on the Sunday will be elbow to elbow and standing room only.

I don't think sunday is usually busy, people go out on the monday, August bank is the main Bank holiday of the year. I dunno what I'm sdoing yet or who with. I might go blackpool then drop down to accy. There again I might just spend it here at the scarecrow festival.

I don't mind where though I too voted for the shoulder. As I don't know anyone If I miss the start of 'the crawl' I may never find you and wouldn't want to be going in and out of pubs alone looking for you all. I don't mind which day.

I voted for Shoulder, enjoyed it there last time :) Might ring a taxi home this time though if it's at the Shoulder instead of walking, I don't fancy getting into another altercation with those cows up on the top road .... I tell you those cows are evil!! :(

Not many good pubs in Clayton buttonsmum that would suit us .. except I think the Hyndburn Bridge, looked really pretty last night with the floral display outside, and if good night, could sit out there. Inside too, has nice type areas for a group ... and plenty going on in the rest of the pub.

Like a pub crawl, but any sign of wind and rain, and I'm off... makes me hair curl too much and tend to overdrink more than usual.

Can't make me mind up. Will vote soon Mez promise, thanks for your efforts as always though ... appreciated. xx
