You can only get a copy of the inspection by doing a freedom of information request from the Council.

I think all the inspection reports should be freely downloadable. I also think the establishment should have to display is rating in a very prominent place, a bit like a taxi has to have its license on show.

This would push the poor places into making improvements or they would get less trade.

Would you go and eat at a place with a zero rating stuck on the front door?

whilst i agree there is a need fer standards ratings, nevertheless they can be a bit misleading, we had the misfortune to visit one rated 4 last week, the food was minging.

Here is a link for places with a zero rating

Food Standards Agency - 0

And one for a rating of 1

Food Standards Agency - 1

and with a rating of 5

Food Standards Agency - 5

Judging by the driving standards of some local taxi drivers i don't think having their licence on show makes any differrance...:D:D:D

Went to O'marleys Red Lion ( back to original name ) off whitebirk roundabout last night. Anyone else been ?
You can eat or drink in bar if you want but we eat in the nice back restaurant section.
They have large menu but we decided on the £ 8.95 for 2 courses menu.
We had prawn cocktail and pate, then braised steak and a lasagna, had glasss of red wine each,All Very nice indeed.
They also do main course and drink deal £6.95 before 7 pm midweek.
First time ever been so would be interesting to see if anyone else has tried it and if its always decent.:)
