What would I do on the last day of a job? Depends on whether I was leaving or being made redundant.

If the latter - vow to get even!

It's happened once ..........

............and I did!

I was always told never burn your bridges, its amazing just how often you meet the same people agaian and again in work. Also never crap on people your in charge of as you never know when the tables will be turned.

I never really understand the 'get even' mentality especially when it comes to things like reduncancy. Surely teh company has no choice in the matter and by letting 1 or 2 go may be enough to save 20-30 other jobs. I've been made redundant once, been headhunted once, moved of my own accord once and all other bits were internal moves/job apps. Every time I left on good terms and it has up to now usually meant meeting/dealing with the people again for one reason or another and I have usually gained from it being a respectful relationship.
