Nearly a Divorce !!
Anne and I have had a problem, well not so much a problem as an argument.
We have a tumble drier and ever since we moved into this house, the only space we can put it is In a little alcove next to the cooker the space has a worktop so the drier has no ventilation and would overheat if used in that position, so I told Anne to always pull the drier out to use it . so Anne agreed that whenever it is in use it should be pulled out of it's space. Often, after pleading with Less to allow me to go home from the pub I've found Anne contentedly on the computer or watching one of her soaps, gone into the kitchen and lo' and behold it's in it's little space being used. I have come out of the kitchen and said, "you've done it again haven't you?". “you have not pulled the drier out AGAIN” Anne was getting annoyed, because she would swear blind she'd moved it out. (She was beginning to suspect I was pushing it back just to cause an argument!). The other day I decided to make a chilli-con-carnie (well my kind I like mushrooms in mine) So I went into the kitchen and yet again the drier was on but in the alcove it was very hot, so I dragged it out and sat it at an angle to the alcove and went to the main worktop at the other end of the kitchen to start preparing my chilli, When I turned round the drier had straitened its self up the vibrations caused the drier to gently work it's way into it's original position. I put this down to the wooden floor in the kitchen, I can't think of anything else, but thank goodness we have both seen it so no divorce.:D:D |

I hope you appologised mick!! those dryers can be very mischeavous you know, washers and dryers both alike. My sisters washer was coming out to greet me when i went to hers the other day.........

We used to have a washing machine that took itself for a walk across the kitchen - all very well until it unplugged itself from the drain!

I'm glad to hear that there will be no rift......and I do hope you have apologised for doubting your wife. Most men do find it hard to utter that word SORRY(mine is no exception)....I hope you aren't one of them:D

Surprised you haven't tried the "See I told you it must have been moving across the floor. You should have wedged it." angle. ;)

For weeks, he's been at it. Screaming an a shouting. Steam almost coming out of his ears. " how many times do I have to tell you about that dryer. You'll cause a fire. Ya DE DA DE DA. Yap Yap Yap."
I would scream back at him. " I did. etc." I would go in the kitchen an sure enough it would be back in it''s place. I thought either he was putting it back or I was suffering bouts of dementia. Then the other day he came in an started telling me off has per usual. I knew I'd pulled it out but I switched it back on after pulling it out and went upstairs to do the beds. came back down and back it was. When I told him it was putting it's self back, he's like yea! right! Grown legs and walked round a corner as it. He was convinced I had finally lost mi marbles. Then next Minuit he comes in and tells me he wouldn't have believed it but he had seen it for him-self. Men! |

Perhaps the dryer is trying to take the clothes to the pile that needs pressing, and which is then ironed and put away, as if by magic, eh Anne? :D

I don't have any trouble were washing is concerned, she doen't leave the sink until its done:D
