Nope....and to be honest I don't mind if I don't get anything at all.
The current financial situation is putting enough pressure on folks without having to think about unnecessary and possibly unwanted gifts.
Mothers just want some time with their children.....not extravagant overpriced tat.
But that is only my take on the situation.

I got a sat nav off the boys (think that was after my un-planned detour to lancaster on the way home from preston )

And two really annoying singing cards which the boys keep playing with!!

It is hard when you have lost your Mum...especially if the loss is recent, and it is also hard if you are, for some reason, estranged from your children, or have recently lost a child.
Mothers Day is somehow very hollow for these people.

My Mum died last year, strangely I don't miss her, I don't regret her passing, she was a loving person, so It isn't out of bitterness I say this, she had lost all that was her some 5 years ago.

If there is a Heaven, I hope she has now got her mind back.

Jen i know this may sound daft but.... i dont buy flowers for my mums grave, i buy them for her and put them in my house, everytime i look at them they remind me of her and that makes me smile, she died almost 18 years ago and i've been doing it ever since

I think that's a really lovely idea Shaz. I always did think it was bit pointless putting flowers on a grave.

Depends on your belief's, you could say it's actually pointless going to a grave. I usually take a pot plant to my mum's grave so it doesn't blow away as easy. I will also give her an update on how things are going as I have done for the past 40 odd years, though I'm sure she won't have been impressed with all of it :)
