LOL ... TV Rules OK

Son rang me when I was having my dinner at 8.45 p.m ... "May I ring you back? Eating and watching Corrie" says I.

Ring back 9.15 p.m. ... son says "Hi Mum, may I ring you back? Just watching Big Celebrity Brother eviction".

I know we have life decision things to discuss, but you gotta' laugh 'aint you.

Are we becoming a facile society ? .... :D:D:D

Ok .. here goes. As we are so backward in this poverty urban district of Clayton-le-Moors, Hyndburn, still only possessing black and white television screens (maximum 12"), I still have to acquire magnification of my 'Bush manufactured television' .. nah .. still aint quite right.

I have been known to say 'i'll ring you back later because I'm having my tea', but never because of TV.

Once, i was watching a really good documentary with Stephen Fry about depression and someone rang about 10 minutes in and kept talking for almost an hour!!! I missed it all.

What a coincidence, I remember, I only rang expecting a quick 'phone call, to you, my goodness missing that, I was depressed for days.

I forgot to add. I never say 'can you ring back later because I'm watching TV', because if I don't want to speak to someone I don't answer the phone. :p

Gosh .. you two are so right .. I always refused to let my kids answer the phone at meal times, or keep the TV on when we had visitors.

Back to the drawing board ... :(

Mind you, would never have done this with anyone but my close family .. strange that.. 'cept Cashy of course .. would have told him to sod off (please) for 1/2 hour ...LOL

I don't answer the phone at certain times, because I know it won't be my mother, as our two-way TV-telepathy has a very strong signal.

Some programmes would only be interrupred for a life and death situation.

:D

The whole family used to know never to ring my Nanna when Coronation St was on.

From what I've seen of the English telly, missing something shouldn't be a problem because you just know it's going to be coming round again within a couple of weeks. :)
