Have you read the terms and conditions for your hire of the power bar? You will have to return it in 18 months or pay for it. It's quite a good service if you often find yourself somewhere with an EE shop as you can swap your current flat powerbar for a charged one in the shop.

I got myself a power bar from the EE shop and I also got a power bank from a popular auction site.
The EE power bars also have a torch function making them ideal for camping etc.
