Hiya people im Kathryn and i'm looking for a job and fast a possible!

This would be long term not perminent as im training to be a teacher at blackburn collage for 1year and may possibally move on to the 3 year course!

I am good at english as i got a c in it, i got a c in art, d in maths and also an f in ict and d in science...

I'm good with money and being polite as my mum and dad used to be relief manger's so i have had retail experiance for over 5 year's.. during my teen's...

I am a very mature 16 year's old and have a lovely boyfriend only thing is he live's in manchester! its over 8pound a day to see him and i dont have the money for it as i dont have a job so please let me know if you could take me on?

Kathryn ,you will struggle getting a retail job with no weekends. Maybe try Express Gifts , Asda also do a night/ evening shift.

Have you tried Asda/Tesco Kathryn? Also the job centre may know of more vacancies, good luck.

They will be able to pay you less (lower minimum wage applies) so your chances are improved.

I have just left a school in chorely and have just moved back to accrington were i was raised untill i went to high school and attended one in chorely called water loo lodge as i moved around a lot i only had to chnge taxi's as the education payed for my transport i did go to moorhead when i was 11 a new born year seven but moved half way through that year and attended water loo lodge from then on, it is a priv school.

You would have to do an office job to not work weekends or at express gifts. Theres no way a shop would take you on if you couldn't do weekends.

Your age wouldn't be a problem as long as you have a national insurance number.
Loads of shops in the Arndale currently looking for Xmas temps but again you would be extremely lucky to get out of doing weekends.
Sadly that's the real world .

people underestimate grade not that they actually are needed at your age except for college placements.. a , C only represents a satifactory eductation from the goverment.. anyways there is a cafe on the street behing mc,donalds in blackburn looking for someone.

Which cafe are you going on about? Mcdonalld's is near bowling and vue isnt it? could you give me detail's please and yes I'm doing a cach certificate in childcare and ed level 2 which is a 1 year course and planning to continue onto level 3 which is the last course of 2 year's.

No I didn't teach you, I am a teaching assistant and Discovery Centre manager at Moorhead. I supported occasionally in your lessons. I'm pleased to hear that you are going to college and wish you all the best.
By the way how is your brother? I can't remember if he is older or younger than you. Is he still at school, college or working? I hope he is well also.

Look on the accrington Gregg`s there is a sign saying hwere the new one will be and there after staff , idealy go in and ask for a for form.

BM bargins are after people, went past other dayhad a note on window, print a CV out and go around town and tell them your after a job theyll contact you back if you suit them

Problem with yor age is that you cannot work nights untill your 18yo think you would be allowed to work upto 22:00 only

What about care homes?...they may take you on for the evening shift.....but be aware that they don't pay well.

Its funny but the higher through education you get the more they seem to care about dyslexia, My friends here at lancaster who are dyslexic get 1 to 1 advice and help from a student support person and they get they cost of their text books refunded to them, a dictaphone to record the lectures, a laptop or desktop pc, and thats just the stuff I know about.

I think there would be more call for teachers with dyslexia than you think due to their ability to pass on study skills to younger ones who struggle, and the fact that schools are more often kitted out now with advanced interactive white boards which would most likely have a spell check function so she could still teach well. I had a dyslexic personal tutor at college and he was a brilliant teacher, luckily today its recognised and given the proper acknowledgement that it needs.

This is something she would have to look into if she did decide to pursue that line. At present she still has work placement in a nursery to come. She doesn't get much help at present in college (which she spells as collage and can't seem to tell the difference) and certainly no dictaphone or laptop provided but she is coping. There is help available from a student support department if it becomes apparent that she really needs it. She has spoken to them bit they must feel that at present she is getting by - it's just that obviously she can't start teaching children that she lives in a "hwse" and attends "collage"

I do believe you are correct macca. I wonder how it ever came to be pronounced hiccup. Mind you in a country where Chalmondley is pronounced Chumley and Farquehar is pronounced similar to the gentlemen who designed WWI German aircraft not to mention Menzies (Mingis) and Beauchamp (Beecham) it's hardly surprising is it?
