Musicians wanted

I need lots of musicians for a performance on 26th September. You must play an instrument that is portable and acoustic - i.e. guitar, trumpet, violin, flute, recorder, harmonica, etc.

You will be asked to learn a song (not decided what yet) and will have just one full rehearsal as a group before the event.

At the event you will all be positioned individually at various intervals along the walk up to the top of the Coppice. You can play anything as a procession passes you. You'll then join the back of the procession and walk to the top of the hill. Once at the top of the hill you'll all meet up and perform the rehearsed song.

I can offer £20 expenses per musician.

Please pm me if you'd like to be involved.

The event is the 100th anniversary of the handing over of the Coppice to the people of Accrington. It will be a big event and everyone is welcome to attend.

Musicians (duos and small groups can also get in touch and either play as a group or individually) please get in touch.

Hi Gayle,

I play bass guitar and have an acoustic bass guitar I could play on that date if you like. Get in touch with me via facebook if you'd like me to.

EDIT: Just seen that you want PMs. Message coming your way!

Well it has to be the acoustic because you'll be half way up a hill when playing it.

I'll let you know when the rehearsal is and if you can make it that would be great.
