Re: This should be a breeze.

Just looking for the obvious really bob, I clueless. It’s a pub or a games room by the looks of it. There’s some nice wear on the step that would suggest a long establish trade.

Re: This should be a breeze.

Being smarter than Sherlock's smarter brother, I knew that you would be the one to spot that.

Bagpuss and Atarah are in the right sort of area.

Wingy is miles away, and Doug has gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick altogether.

Re: This should be a breeze.

Its the entrance to the now empty 'Shelter' shop. Had to go into town today and so I kept my eyes peeled around that area.

JohnW 03-08-2004 11:54

Re: This should be a breeze.

So what does the word "Playfair" represent. Was that the name of the original shop which was there or what? If so, what did type of stuff did they sell?

Re: This should be a breeze.

warner street! :D

Atarah 03-08-2004 12:23

Re: This should be a breeze.

I have this vague idea it could have been a shoeshop.

Acrylic-bob 03-08-2004 16:47

Re: This should be a breeze.

It is a photograph of the entrance to a shop on Little Blackburn Road. Ceejache is right, but then so is Atarah, since the name 'Playfair' is the name of the shop that preceded the charity shop. So I guess that they have to share the coconut on this one.

Well done chaps!

Bagpuss 03-08-2004 19:04

Re: This should be a breeze.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere, I walk past it everyday and even sheltered there from the rain a couple of weeks ago, I must learn to open my eyes a bit more.
