Im thinking of buying a camera. I hope to have a few days in lake district next month and gonna take some pics. Any good (low priced) cameras about? my phone is a little irritating for taking pics, though the results are good.

The first question is what do you want to do with it, macro, panoramic, multi shot, compact (pocket), different lenses (round your neck), when you have answered this question then you can look for a camera. Then you compare prices, and finally go and buy it. You will be too tired to go out and take pictures after that.

I await in anticipation?

You are just trying to build up the tension for the arrival of the piccys, not to put too much pressure on though.

Todays offering is the woodlands walk in C.L.M. I have done this area previously, but as the trees are now in leaf it is a different walk.
They are presented as I undertook the perambulation, some forward some backwards.

Nice pics Dave, a real feel of spring. I see you had your faithful cockerpoo with you. He hasn't taken you down the canal recently, has he? Haven't had a report from there for a while - or perhaps you're too busy with the darning...

Sorry for the delay -due to the weather. Finally got the bike out and have taken some pics along the canal -don't have panoramic shots though. Saw lots of wild-life but only managed to capture a very camera shy Turtle -obviously been abandoned there. There were hare, herons and lots of Moor hens but they wouldn't collaborate. The smell was incredible -camomile is out a the moment and elderberry, also lots of poppies -found a fantastic wheat field full of poppies at one point. Loads of birdsong -all very peaceful -a few fishermen and some other "serious" cyclists were on the path (the Giro D'Italia is on at the moment so they're all out on their racing bikes. I move out of the way as I am a slow but graceful peddle-pusher! Lovely and shady in the Elm woods and at the end have added a shot which shows the mediaeval tower in the distance -it is in the center of Cremona.

Last three pics -the turtle in the canal -all a bit brown -not very inspiring. My career as a wild-life photographer will be short-lived!:D

One of the new barn at our farm -looks like an aircraft hangar!

View of the back of my house (built 1780) - in the center with 2 downstairs shutters open and satellite dish to the left. A yellow scarecrow is in the veggie patch behind it too! Have some great salad leaves at the moment...
