Interesting, never heard of that circle. Just looked at the info leaflet about it. We lived near Stonehenge for many years so I got a bit sick of prehistory but perhaps I should start investigating what's about in this area.

It's sort of between Whitewell and Garstang - so coming from Accy it's before Garstang SD 577460 - very nice in summer.:D

It's half way from Morecambe to Accy! :) it's a woodhenge.

Probably closer to me in Morecambe than to Dave in Clayton!

A few different locations, just having a sort out of my postings.

1. River Calder and the viaduct on Martholme Lane.
2. Looking toward Accrington.
3. Heading away from Priestly Clough toward Green Haworth.
4. Jacobs Lodge.
5. Looking in the direction of Oswaldtwistle.

I don't think I've ever been to Foxhill bank in all my time in Accy! :confused: ;)

Its probably only been in its present form for possibly 20 years ish, it depends when you left the district as to whether there was anything to see?
