Today in Pictures......Its definitely a wet socks and knickers day...so to save time I wet myself before I set off. It worked, I saved 10 minutes.

1. I thought you had to do wool on the delicate setting.
2. Made it down to the River Calder, well on a wet day it has to be water.
3. Heading toward Whalley Road first.
4. Cock Bridge, I like that word............bridge. For this shot Bob and I are bobbing about on a log, and heading downstream for some reason.
5. We swam back to the bank, I was getting sea sick.
6. Thats the worst case of droplets I have come across.
7. Now back to the start point on the river, to go the other way.
8. At this point the river drops down slightly, and there was a bit of turbulence......I think it was the sprouts.
9. The turbulence in question.
10. As far as we go today, its going dark, just time to dance naked across the bridge, its an old tradition.......... that goes back to last Friday.

So that is it for today, this is your local reporter handing you back to the studio, this has been dave mac for news at ten.

Dave if you ever give up taking pictures have you ever thought of writing one-liners instead? Some of your captions are hilarious...

BTW hope Bob's muddy winkle has recovered. Used to like half a pint of winkles - can't get em here in Morecambe even though we're by the sea but bet you still can on Accy market or there's another illusion gone!

I just got out of bed that way today.

It was that wet today Bob had his coat on, so offered some winkle protection, I cant put a winkle in my mouth, last time I did, I had to do 6 months. (that might get censored).

I have been reading a book on anti gravity today, I cant put it down.

I am supposed to wet my knickers so you don't have to, but if you want to, thats another thing.

The only thing dry about you is your humour......just how I like it! Wine, sweet....humour, dry!

Not sure about the wine but totally agree about the humour. Dave's reminds me of my dad so I've had a lifetime of it!

I worked with colleagues and we all had the same dry(some would say black) sense of humour......one of us would start off on a theme and it would carry on for days.

as for the wine...I was once told that I have a very juvenile palate...at least it matches the rest of me:D

Wow what an amazing device - I've wanted to see it for so long and your pics really show how it works - well done.

Must make plans for a trip up there sometime...
