Today in Pictures, another moist moment, or the ramblings of a rambler.
1. Just to get it over and done with, droplets 2. On the way down into Whalley from Spring wood. 3. Thats where we will be shortly, I say shortly, its uphill, so might be a bit longer than shortly. 4. We waddle past the weir at Whalley which is wet, glad its not windy we wouldn't be able to work that word in. 5. The path up to the nab, cant imagine how workers in clogs came down here in the wet, there would have been sparks and snot all over the place. There is with me and I'm in pumps. 6. I've stood here before, but this time its raining. Which is nice. 7. An undershot waterwheel within a mill (built in 1837) conversion, I don't think it has turned for a while, or the maid forgot to dust it this morning. 8. Whalley Abbey Gatehouse. 9. A punnet of damp lambs. 10. Its time to head back to the car, I don't think a train is due. |

Today in Pictures, wet underfoot.
1. You wouldn't think this was covered in snow a few hours ago. 2. Some left on higher ground. 3. Although the melt has swollen this brook to a rush. 4. However, things still move on. 5. This brook on the other side of the site is just as full. 6. Further up is is brushing against the banks. 7. In places it is whooshing. 8. The trees still follow its nature. and that was Foxhill bank nature reserve perimeter. |

1. I don't know if this is rare, but I've only seen it twice, ever, its a lichen. 2. Oi,...did you know these walls down. 3. Trees have to struggle to survive around here. 4. Dry stone wall country. 5. Who would live in a house like this. 6. It will be nice when its finished. 7. Wet bits are compulsory. 8. See, I told you so. 9. Looking back. 10. I think thats a sign that its time for home. |

hi all, ok there was a outdoor performance art on tonight over at salford quays, it involved people jogging round with led light suits on, so me and a few camers friends went along, i didn't take the tripod as i wanted manoeuvrability, wish i had have done now, cos i missed some good shots, i did have one of those little benndy tripods that wrap round stuff, but wasnt the same.
anyway thought i had better get out whilst i can as some of you may read about my new venture, playing out time maybe a little restricted for the forceable. anyway here are some of the shots, just a quick edit, so here goes |
