I was walking along the canal bank and heard this almighty splashing as a swan was running along the water surface to pick up speed for take off. I just managed to whip my camera round quick as it looked as though it was going to hit our heads. The Heron obliged when it saw max stalking it. The rather large big brown wading bird is what we call beef wellington without its wellies

Today in Pictures, I managed a short walk today so I post a selection of snaps on the fly, and one that reminds me of something, but just can't put my finger on it!

Beautiful flowers again -is that tree a Mimosa?

"Peccadillos" comes to mind - you haven't photographed any for quite a while

The tree you see is a Laburnum, they are at full volume at the moment, and full of insects feeding on them. When I stood underneath it there was a loud hum from all the bees.

Well done Max,
A bit of practice and a steady hand and they work well.
A lot cheaper than a dedicated macro lens.

Today in Pictures, a walk through the Woodlands now the trees are full of leaves makes it a different place.

In fact there are more trees than you can shake a stick at, which thinking about it is part of a tree.

Not had a message like that before, although I do have to upload pics just two at a time otherwise it fails. I`ll upload a pic now just to test it`s not a problem with the forum.

I know what you mean, however walking through a woods is just trees from different perspectives, so there is not much I can say that would make each picture worth a few words.
As I get a bit more time, I will expand my walks a bit.
