I was persuaded to take a friend to the Scorton Steam fair today and I am really glad I did.
What a great day out, it's on Sunday as well. Photographs don't really need explaining. The lawn mower racing was something different and really fast fun. I took about a hundred photos, there were stock cars, lorries, buses, tractors birds of prey, small horses showing off and plenty of motorbikes and steam driven tractors, lorries and even cars. Hope the weather is as good tomorrow for the visitors as it was over there today. |

I was going to use today's allowance to post some more photos from the Scorton Steam Festival I took yesterday but I went to the British Commercial Vehicle Museum at Leyland instead.
What a cracking show, The American Road Show" was being held there. Lots of gunfighters having shoot outs, Line dancing, country music and American cars and trucks. The characters were only too happy to pose for me. I have had the best weekend for a long while and feel well and truly refreshed. The Bowker Leyland lorry demanding attention is one recently lent to the Museum by Bill Bowker, it replaces a similar motor destroyed in the fire at Walton Summit last year. |
Re: Today in pictures
Is that a Cobra next to the Mustang in pic 2?

I will find some photos of it, I took about 300 hundred today and as many yesterday so I have a lot to get through. I have found it and will use tomorrows allowance to post it along with some more big muscle cars. As you can see I have started to watermark my car and lorry photos since some came up for sale at a Truck festival and others on a Transport forum. |

Today in Pictures, it was a warm day but a bit "iffy" with the weather, but it stayed fine.
1. Heading down to Dean Clough reservoir. 2. An early foxglove. 3. A wet bit. 4. A wet bit a bit further away. 5. Thistle do. 6. The reason this is taken at a low angle is I am sinking in the marshy bit. 7. I can't walk past this without taking a snap. 8. I see Iris is out. |

things of my own interest and I got to talk to plenty of people. It did me a power of good and putting my photos on this and another forum kept me busy for hours. On the private Transport Forum I posted about 30 photos and they all had to go through Photobucket. I hardly had time to pick up my wine glass. Cheers. |

More from yesterday especially for "gpick24"
I bought my self a model Triumph GT6 at the show, apart from the colour it is identical to the one I got new in 1973. I was lucky with the gunfighter, as the referee shouted "draw" I pressed the shutter and that's the result. |
Re: Today in pictures
Some nice motors there, especially the Cobras, was one up near my works all last week, wonder if it`s one of these.
