Is there a safe and decent place to park my car where we start from. By the way, who will vouch for me, I might be a masked robber for all you know. |

Weed with its bits hanging out. 7. Another wet bit, the kingfisher hide is on the far side. 8. Tinker Brook flows under the bridge and into the site. 9. Pick a day when the sun is in the sky and the rain is in Spain though. I don't have any special walking gear apart from some old boots. By the way Cashy, I will have to polish my halo after reading your post. PM me for my details. |

Since gpick24 requested more photos of the Motor Festival and they got a lot of likes, here are some more.
Sorry I am watermarking them but since some of my Transport photos have turned up on another forum with other peoples copyright I decided to watermark them myself. Not as they are anything special. I took a photo in 1960 when I was training a driver on a lorry mounted crane when it got in a ditch, it had been in my old box of army photos hidden away until last year when I posted it on a forum. It appeared on page 45 of the August edition of Classic Plant and Machinery. No mention of when, why, how or who took it. I emailed the editor to ask how he got hold of it but he never replied. |

No. 1 is the Bentley which won the Le Mans 24 hour race in 2003.
My favourite and has been since the 60's is No. 7 the Austin Healey. I was looking at one a few weeks ago at a show and it had had a complete strip down restoration and if it was for sale the asking price would be over £44,000. |

Today in Pictures, a walk through the Millennium Garden and out the other side.
1.Walking past St Marys Graveyard, the Petre family vault in the corner of the field. 2. Looking over to Hapton Scouts, you can see where the water supply going to Manchester crosses the Leeds Liverpool canal. 3. Time to cross the road to the woods. 4. Time for a picnic, where's my soft baps..................space left for innuendo. 5. The fruiting bodies are starting to emerge. 6. I think it's a Puff Ball. 7. The excavation starting from Martholme pumping station, and heading for Clayton Fields. 8. It's a fungi, thats all I can say about it. 9. From the field behind St. Marys Graveyard you can see the first house on Warwick Avenue. |
