So many beautiful things to take my eye.
I'm really glad it is too far away from me......I could be seriously tempted to splurge on some of those items.....and like Susie, the cat takes my eye(and my heart).

She was shy little thing, flitting in and out. Finally she found a safe spot high above all the action. I hope she comes with the studio if I move in :)

Could you be on the cusp of a descision?

Not quite... It's a delicate situation. The lady who is renting there now will leave when her husband passes away (he has cancer). His prognosis isn't good, and she and the owner are looking down the road. They have approached me to see if I'm interested. It's a gorgeous spot, but I had decided to retire. It will take a fair bit of $ to start up again. My hubby is looking nervous Hah hah. But lots of time to decide, hopefully for all concerned :)

Not as straight forward as it appeared at first, looks like you will have to sleep on It for a few days.

Today in pictures is later then usual due to a computer glitch, system restore sorted it out. So as I am technically into Wednesday my next upload will possibly be Thursday.
A walk around the outside of Jamestone Quarry, Rossendale, part of the walk appeared to be along an old cart track, a harsh environment whichever way you look at it.

The tree in #4 looks like it's growing out of the rock, and the trees in #6 are wonderfully gnarled. Great photos of a great walk. Thank you!

The tree is perched on the edge of the rock face, it must have a firm hold as the terrain and climate is not very friendly.
The whole area is known as the valley of stone for the number of workings and quarries that litter the area. The area fed the industrial revolution by providing stone for the factories to be built and flags and cobble stones to pave the streets, it must have been a very hard way to put food on the table.

The christmas market was shut up early because of the weather, they were getting a right battering from the gusts, and there were no customers, some of the stall holders had gone to a lot of trouble to no avail.

I feel for the vendors. I had a market stall myself for 9 years. It went from mid May to the end of October each year - that covered all weather conditions!

Have managed to get back on line to catch up with all your wonderful photos and have enjoyed seeing what you are all up to. Still no proper internet conrction here in the middle of the frozen Italian countryside so it may be a while still before I can manage to contribute myself -I have taken note of the Competition title and hope to post something over the weekend if this dongle behaves itself -it's a bit slow - like going back to the age of steam :D I have been feeling a bit like I'm in exile though I'm still busy both at home and in the new office - lots to do but that's no bad thing. I have been out walking and have some photos to share when time and technology permit! In the meantime I will look forward to seeing more of your days in photos x
