It may be that I revert back to JPEG's but at this stage I am giving it a go just to see if there is any change in the quality of the end result. My view today is that its a bit of a faff.

HDR, now that is a whole new ball game, combining three or more bracketed shot to give one perfectly exposed photo, my view is sometimes it can be a bit chocolate boxy, now and again I see one that works, but can be a bit overdone.

Not fond of HDR pics...they look 'manufactured'...unnatural.....though I do have an app(I never thought I would use that word) on my iPad that transforms pics to HDR......and you can make them as subtle or unsubtle as you want.

Aaarrggghhhhh:mad: No pic. There was a snowy owl, a beauty, sitting on top of my garage ... went to get a camera, and when I came back it had gone. Bummer; what a gorgeous creature.

Thanks, I got a few of that one, but they weren`t very clear, it was up and around the branches, upside down, it was difficult to get a clear shot.

I think what happens is when people get bitten by the HDR bug they tend to go over the top and do everything that way, and some are not the right subject for that technique. Although I have seen some HDR's that I like, they are in the minority.
Having said that, everyone has their own slant on photography and its not for me to sit in judgement as to what technique anyone should use.

I have been in that lock myself frank, brought back memories of the joiner who kept falling down the sump hole every time he went down there. We even put a shovel in it so he would know where it was and he tripped over that:D:D
