I think that must've gone Dianne. I certainly don't recall it.
There are two lovely Arcades......The Wayfarers and another one whose name I can't bring to mind right now - it will come to me when I stop thinking about it.
The Wayfarers is still full of shops, unlike our Victorian Arcade.......which has very little inside.(such a shame)
The next time I go to Southport I will take some pics sepcially for you so that you can get the feel of it.

That should read 'specially'.
(I am giving Jaysays Keyboard a run for him, to make sure it still has all the built in errors)

Thanks for that link AE! I used to visit Southport a lot for summer days out with my mum and later when a student in L'pool I'd somethimes go for a day trip on the train. I think the last time I remember going there was when my eldest was about 3 - he's 26 now! One to add to my list of places to re-visit!

Well, here we go again. And if you guys are getting tired of looking at snow, snow, and more snow, just imagine how we feel;)

Eric, it looks lovely on pictures....?But there ends the appeal.....for me at least.
I don't get folks who go on ski trips. If I were forking out for a holiday I would want to be warm.
If I had a magic wand I would wave it and banish winter for you.....and bring you some spring flowers and sunshine.....alas, I have no magic wand!

No wand, eh. A pic of a steak and kidney pudding would do.;)

Oh, I don't make my own anymore Eric. For some reason( not sure what it is) himself prefers Holland's ( muck).

And the steak pudding season is coming to a close here(think it must be breeding season or something - not allowed to shoot them, catch them or trap 'em)

Surely there must be some left in the rhubarb plantations around Knotty Ash.;)

Arrghhh! My sympathies fellow sufferer. I managed to dodge that one, thankfully.

They are there alright.....you just can't be seen to be hunting them.....but it is alright, because if you get withdrawal symptoms you can get a chitty from your doctor and Iceland will let you buy some of the frozen variety. :)
