Hope you don't mind Jen.

Another of your manipulations M, good to see you not lost your creative touch ;)

Where was this taken, I recognise that chimney but not the water?

Today's offerings more photos featuring the lake at Gargnano - still haven't left it behind mentally.
1 Beach in Gargnano
2 Villa Feltrinelli from the beach
3 I wonder how many of the bathers know Mussolini lived here from 1943-45?
4 A light shower and this was the result
5 My pot of gold lies here
6 Swimming off the jetty in Villa
7 View from the terrace of Hotel du Lac at tea-time
8 Gargnano in the morning from the terrace of San Tommaso
9 A quiet spot to sit and reflect - in the Piazza of Villa
10 Breakfast on the terrace of Hotel Gardenia - so romantic!

it could be Platts lodge...at the back of what used to be Giron Freres....the velvet makers.
In fact the more I think about it...the more likely it seems.
Especially as one of the other pics shows the stanchions that used to support the railway line......now being used as a decorative feature.

Once again you forgot to put the cross hairs on #7;) ... for some odd reason, #4 reminds me of Saskatchewan ... Pioneer country ... love that Province:alright:

Today in Pictures, just a short walk around the viaduct.

1. A view from Martholme Lane.
2. Heading for the railway line greenway.
3. I know......that's what I thought.....Puff Balls.
4. The line in dappled shade.
5. A rare find, a long discarded sleeper.
6. A view from the viaduct.
7. People come up with reasons not to open this gate, most are selfish reasons for stopping the masses taking a stroll.
8. One day perhaps I could walk over there.
9. Coming down is not as exhausting as the reverse.
10. And here we are going up Martholme Lane.
