Today's offerings more photos featuring the lake at Gargnano - still haven't left it behind mentally.

it could be Platts lodge...at the back of what used to be Giron Freres....the velvet makers.
In fact the more I think about it...the more likely it seems. Especially as one of the other pics shows the stanchions that used to support the railway line......now being used as a decorative feature. |

I don't mind at all Margaret .... if I could id stick another one on for you to have a play with one I took this afternoon and ended up with wet knees and a wet posterior ... but i'll have to wait till after midnight ... and I think you'll love playing with that one ... :D

Today in Pictures, just a short walk around the viaduct.
1. A view from Martholme Lane. 2. Heading for the railway line greenway. 3. I know......that's what I thought.....Puff Balls. 4. The line in dappled shade. 5. A rare find, a long discarded sleeper. 6. A view from the viaduct. 7. People come up with reasons not to open this gate, most are selfish reasons for stopping the masses taking a stroll. 8. One day perhaps I could walk over there. 9. Coming down is not as exhausting as the reverse. 10. And here we are going up Martholme Lane. |
