These were taken before, during and after a "clay run" - a trip to the pottery supply company to get supplies. The weather was bright and sunny, but quite cold with a stiff wind.
You'll notice that most of them were taken through the car window. I wasn't about to stop to get out, given that the shoulders of the road were deep in snow. We passed a couple of unfortunate souls who had ventured too close to the side of the road and got stuck. Back at the guild and later at home, I did get my hands cold to get a couple of snow shadow shots. |

Moody, broody and decidedly wet Cheddar Gorge this morning, had to make a detour on the journey home this morning for a case of the delightful punning ales and some Natural Blue Cheddar cheese. :D

It is eons since I visited there, back in the day I did some cave diving in Wookey Hole and surrounding cave systems. It was nowhere near as commercialised as it is now, tacky even. Cheddar Gorge Cheese Co still the real deal though having been there and using the natural conditions in the caves to store and mature the cheeses since the early 1100's. |
