this is a great program for shrinking the filesize without damaging the picture quality too much https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ good for getting those pics under 500mb for accyweb

Thanks for that R, I was thinking about resizing my images etc.
I will give it a go when I get some free time,I've always been a bit dubious of resizing and losing quality...Nice one :)

Its very easy to use. Install then just highlight all photos you want to resize in windows explorer (file manager) with your mouse right click and there will be a resize option in your list,

Had wander to Martholme Viaduct i even got chance to stalk some deer too.
For those who don't know Martholme Viaduct is a 19th-century Viaduct constructed between 1870–77 between Gt Harwood and Read.It has ten round arches, each 40ft high (12 m wide) and at its highest point over the river calder it is 65 feet high. The line was closed for use around 1957 an it is a designated Grade II listed building (walking over it is prohibited ;))..........Plenty more pics being uploaded to my photobucket account too.....Enjoy.

My gaming mouse died so I took the train to PCWorld in Burnley.

A few shots from a rather dirty train window...

Hard to tell as you cannot see the sides of the bird, but from what can be seen I would have thought that perhaps it was a Chaffinch....but I am happy to be corrected if someone else knows better.

Not sure about Bullfinch, they seem to have black heads, does have a finch type beak though.
A tighter crop and one from the side (ish)
Edit: I think maybe a chaffinch - https://www.rspb.org.uk/discoverande...nch/index.aspx

the more I look at it, the more I think it is a Chaffinch.

Looks like a Chaffinch for sure.

The shot of the Buzzard though is the one which I think is worth a mention, truly stunning.

Today in Pictures, walking around the wet bits.

1.This is where the flow of water from the four reservoirs on the coppice would have fed the industry around Plantation Mill.
2. The last in the series, from here it was channelled into the mill.
3. Next to last, this fed the bottom one.
4. This channel ran passed number three and flowed into number four, but three flowed into it from the side.
5. Looking down the channels as it flows into the last reservoir.
6. Number three reservoir.
7. Making use of all that water for frog spawn.
8. Away from the water, and looking over to Spire Farm.
9. Time to sit and bask in the Spring sunshine.
10. A time for reflection.
