Re: Today in pictures

There were plenty of seals basking on Puffin island Margaret.
The ship sailed through the gap between the island and Angelsey going and the other side when we were heading back to Menai landing stage.
The shots of the seals were taken as it was starting to go dark.
I'll see if I can post the best later.

Thanks, and its unusual for poppies to still be flowering this late in the year.

Had mainly a plane day today.

1. Heckington windmill at sunrise.
2. Hurricane? being tinkered with.
3&4. To see this take off is near the top of my wish list, sun and fence didn`t do me any favours today.
6-8. Of course there`s bound to be Typhoons.
9. Thought I`d take a bit of a detour through some country lanes and take in a bit of scenery....holy cr@p is that a lightning by the side of the road.
10. Dambusters memorial at Woodhall Spa.

I take it you went to Coningsby gpick24.
Did you get inside the hangar or didn't you have time?

The Lancaster was having a new number three prop fitted a few weeks ago and had "Thumper" and some bombs painted under the cockpit.

Not wishing to be picky GP, (loving anything to do with hairyplanes) but I think that's the nose of an early "Spitty", deep curved underside, long flat top & the 3in a row exhaust port & of course its "legs" which fold away from the fuselage whereas the "Hurri" fold in. :)

Yeah, yeah, I know, "Spotter" & I really should get out more amongst normal people. :D

They are the Spitfire and Hurricane from the Memorial flight based at Conningsby.
Flying over Spalding, Spitfire leading. They took me by surprise.

They only have one Hurricane and three Spitfires based there.

gpick! you pointed out the difference when I posted the photo a few weeks ago.
I put them down as two Spitfires.

Not picky at all Dave, I put the question mark there as an invitation to be corrected, I normally google the serial of anything i`m not sure of but didn`t get a pic of the rear.

It's Ok Jason...you lived to post the pic on here so that means you are either a fast runner or the bull looks more fearsome than he actually is :)
