I really like that picture.......I like a lot of your pics Dave, but that one is one of my favourites.

Thanks for those kind words, I think a lost toy has a sadness to it.

Me too...I think of the child who has lost it......and I know this is going to sound proper daft, but I really feel for the lost toy...having lost a loving owner.

Agreed - the word that came to me was "Pathos" - a seemingly insignificant trace of something that had happened.

Recently a childs 'blanky'(one of those bits of cloth tha toddlers carry around - except that this was an upmarket version - it had a Rabbits head on it and was embroidered with the name Olivia) was left on a wall in Blackburn Road...it was there for five days...on the sixth day Marnie picked it up and took it home...she said she was sad to think of the rabbit out in the dark on its own. I knew exactly what she meant.
