PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE UPLOADING TO THE COMPETITION
PLEASE READ THE RULES ON EACH COMPETITION AS THERE MIGHT BE SLIGHT CHANGES FOR A COMPETITION THANKYOU

Each competition will run for 2 weeks, 12 days for uploading photo's and a further 2 days which can be used for voting only.

After the 12 day upload period, voting only will be allowed for 2 days then voting will be stopped.

Anyone can vote, you don't have to enter the competition to be entitled to a vote but it is 1 vote per person.

The winner will get to choose a theme for the next competition.
( You won't need to do anything else, the moderators will create the folder to be uploaded too)

UPLOADING ends at 10pm on the Friday night, you have 48 hours to VOTE (until 10pm Sunday UK time)

The winner then has 12 hours to PM Mick with the next THEME (PLEASE PM DO NOT POST THE NEW THEME ON SITE I COULD MISS IT PM ONLY PLEASE)
if I have not been contacted within this time Mick will pick the Next theme.
In the event of a tie the person who chose the theme will decide on the winner.

upto 5 entries are allowed per person.

Anymore than this will be removed, your 1st 5 uploads will stay - later ones will be removed.

All images must be your own work, Or close family.
Scanned,(from your own photos) digital, phone, video stills are all allowed,
(please don’t use images off the Internet or from magazines or from postcards as we don’t want Accyweb getting into trouble for hosting copyright images).
You will retain copyright of all your images.
No photo's to be removed from the photo competition by any member except mods or admin.
Photo's altered with image editing software will be allowed.

Closing date for this competition is 22:00pm on Friday 21st Feb 2014
and voting will be allowed up to 22:00pm on Sunday 23rd Feb 2014

NOTE

It would help me if all members that have entered the competition are on line at the closing of the competition,

so i can set the next competition up quickly thank you .
I know its not all ways possible but if you can it would help
I hope you all enjoy and enter some great photos
and we can make this a great success like it was before

I'm still perusing my store of photos from warmer days, and will upload some soon. I thought everyone might to sick to death of all my snowy pics lately, I know I am :o

It would be lovely if we got as many votes as there are entries.
These lovely pictures mean nothing if no-one votes for them.
and there are some really stunning pictures...i know I say this every time, but it surprises me every time there is a competition the choice and beauty of the shots put forward.....then I am disappointed to think that less than 20 people took the few seconds it takes to cast a vote.

Come on you lot - show some support for Mick and all the work he puts into these competitions, and show your appreciation to all the entrants who take the time to make the photo comps so interesting. They put more time into it than you would need to when voting.

I doubt you are so busy that you can't spare a minute to vote and if you don't even look at the photos you don't know what you're missing. There's some real gems every time.

I think I will struggle taking photos of something suitable for your next subject.
I have no kids of grandkids (that I know of) but I will think of something.

Russell, It doesn't have to be your children.
If you have one of yourself as a boy with a pet then that would qualify...or if you have snaps of nephews, neices with their pets(or a teddy bear for that matter) they would qualify too.

I understand that Margaret, I always post photographs in the competition that
I have taken myself recently. I probably have something from the days long ago which I can scan but I will not be approaching strangers and asking to take a photo of their child.

Oh, No...that is not a good thing to be doing.(photographing a strangers children - but I didn't suggest that you do that anyway)
I have posted one in the competition that my father took. I have scanned it.
I'm sure my dad would approve of me using it, as it does belong to me now that he is no longer here.

I have just had a root through my old tin box Margaret and found the only four photos with children and pets on. To be honest they are not real pets, just toys.
I will scan them soon and post them. The newest one is dated 1943.

Gremlin, yours beats mine by about 6 years. I think these old snaps are interesting.
I will look forward to seeing them.......and to children, soft toys are their pets...they talk to them, take them out with them and even take them to bed.
