PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE UPLOADING TO THE COMPETITION
PLEASE READ THE RULES ON EACH COMPETITION AS THERE MIGHT BE SLIGHT CHANGES FOR A COMPETITION THANKYOU

Each competition will run for 2 weeks, 12 days for uploading photo's and a further 2 days which can be used for voting only.

After the 12 day upload period, voting only will be allowed for 2 days then voting will be stopped.

Anyone can vote, you don't have to enter the competition to be entitled to a vote but it is 1 vote per person.

The winner will get to choose a theme for the next competition.
( You won't need to do anything else, the moderators will create the folder to be uploaded too)

UPLOADING ends at 10pm on the Friday night, you have 48 hours to VOTE (until 10pm Sunday UK time)

The winner then has 12 hours to PM Mick with the next THEME (PLEASE PM DO NOT POST THE NEW THEME ON SITE I COULD MISS IT PM ONLY PLEASE)

if I have not been contacted within this time Mick will pick the Next theme.
In the event of a tie the person who chose the theme will decide on the winner.

upto 5 entries are allowed
per person.

Anymore than this will be removed, your 1st 5 uploads will stay - later ones will be removed.

All images must be your own work, Or close family.

Scanned,(from your own photos) digital, phone, video stills are all allowed,
(please don’t use images off the Internet or from magazines or from postcards as we don’t want Accyweb getting into trouble for hosting
copyright images).
You will retain copyright
of all your images.

No photo's to be removed from the photo competition by any member except mods or admin.
Photo's altered with image editing software will be allowed.

Closing date for this competition is 22:00pm on Friday 17th oct 2014
and voting will be allowed up to 22:00pm on Sunday 19th oct 2014

NOTE
It would help me if all members that have entered the competition are on line at the closing of the competition,
so i can set the next competition up quickly thank you .

I know its not all ways possible but if you can it would help
I hope you all enjoy and enter some great photos
and we can make this a great success like it was before

Please note:
If you enter a competition have a new theme ready in case you win I will need this to set the next comp up
PLEASE do not ask me to pick a theme and they must be new and not been done before

I will set this competition up but if more members have problems uploading to the competition because they have run out of space I will have to put the competitions on hold until the site owner can find time to allocate more memory to the gallery off his servers.

Can someone explain the situation when you run out of space?
I assume it the member who has posted too many photos in the past or has the forum server become overloaded.
Do members who contribute towards the upkeep of the forum get more space?

I haven`t run out of space, I have photos stuck in the upload queue that`s stopping me uploading, so even with more space I still could`t enter.:(

Not so many votes in as yet - it doesn't cost anything and there are some really varied photos to choose from - hope a few more Accywebbers will find the time to take a look and click on their favourite!! :alright:

I feel like a child who knows there is a party going on...with jelly, cake and ice cream....but I'm not allowed to go.
I have reached the limit of my uploads so I can't participate by putting in pics....but I will vote.

I thought with you being a site supporter the mods would allocate you some more space M.Im not sure what the rules say about it but,If you want to send your pics to me then I can upload them for you...your more than welcome M ;)

As a temporary "fix" could we be allowed to set up new accounts just to upload to the comp, with user names like gpick24comppics and Margaret pilkcomppics?

Sounds good to me but I can't see the mods going for it.I thought with Margret being like the mother of Accyweb (I hope she doesn't mind me saying that) the mods could just allocate her a bit more space.

No I don't think that can be done.
Mick has uploaded stuff for me in the past, but I know he has enough to deal with right now and I wouldn't want to put extra on him.

Yes I am a site supporter and this means I do have a greater allowance, but it is used up.......well, all but 26bytes.
I think it is something technical which Roy(the owner) will fix when he has the time.
I still get pleasure out of seeing what is posted....and the voting is important too.

I do not mind you seeing me as the mother of Accyweb(how exalted does that make me feel - now go tidy your room :)).....but I don't think it is as easy as that....though I do not know the ins and outs of the situation.
We have had something similar before and I think it was a server issue....at that time the comps were suspended....and you will see their are two distinct competition parts........photo comps and the NEW photo comps.

your second account would be banned from the site if you tried this the auto security would ban you and me or a mod would ban your main account as you would be breaking site rules

19: only one account per member is allowed on this site,setting up another account risks all accounts being removed. Members must not use another members account to post or sent pm's through this site if this happens then there is a risk of both accounts being banned

I knew it was against the rules, just thought if that rule could be relaxed slightly it would allow us to upload to the comp, it`s not like we would be pretending to be two different people or trying to get back onto site after a ban, I`m clutching at straws really. Not to worry, it`s just a bit like being a poorly kid looking out the window watching everyone else playing out.:(

Mick it is very kind of you to offer(and I knew you would) but I don't want to give you extra stuff to do when you have enough on your plate.......besides I should be doing other things myself.
I have two rooms that need to emptied of furniture...carpets to be pulled up....all interesting stuff....and here I am wasting time!

As it doesn't seem to be against forum rules, I don't mind sharing whatever space I've got left....if those that can't enter the comp and want a pic or two uploading pm me with the pic I'll upload it for them ;)....



.....I was kinda looking forward to seeing Margaret's entry's in the B+W theme comp :(
