That would be Fitzpatricks in Rossendale, they sell their pop all over now including Booths Supermarkets & Ossie Mills!

Once remember her dressing up as a witch on Halloween, hell was that scary:D:D

Lol!....Just nearly spat my tea out picturing the thought of that!..Certainly wouldn't have needed much extra make-up would she!;)

You could always spot her a mile away when she was down town too, the mane of red hair & she used to like quite vibrant coloured clothes too!

Ya she was one on her own was Ella, the only thing that was missing on Halloween was the broomstick and a black cat:D

Was it the landlord of the Swan or one close to it that used to play the piano drunk as a skunk and once fell off the stool and broke a leg. Back in the 70's this would be????

Twas Jack,Landlord of the Hargreaves Arms, that was in the 60s gdm27, his dog used to sit by the piano n howl to his playing, thing wi jack though, he really could play well, n when he used to fall off his stool, he would get back up n carry on the tune without missing a note.;)

Just before it was modernised in around 74, I used to practice with a group in the upstairs room, Jack was dead by then but his mrs used to pop in and listen and often said how here hubby would have loved to have been here, think she was called Peggy but not to sure on that
