Cashy, what was that pub called that was on Hyndburn Rd. Round about facing Asda if I remember right. Bottom of one of those streets.

I remember going in the Pub, and I've been trying to remember what it were called.

Union Inn Bernard Lion house, used to go out wi the daughter top lass.;) she lives oer burnley way now.

I never went in that pub cashy, but was a regular in the Palatine just up the street, my mates dad took over as landlord, George Mccann was transport manager at Shopfitters at one time, and in later year big Jack Mcgregor was landlord, a scotch lad, quite a good darter, Harvey Macready (ex Stanley Centre forward) was a regular in those days

More then likely it was Pop Club since my dad was on the committe there
Used to go round all the pubs on fri/sat with a group of friends

Back in the 70's I used to have the Broadway as my local, went in there a few years ago and it was a wino dump! Have things changed at all?? :confused:

I think Jack still goes in The Bold Street Club, as does Jack Pearson who used to be landlord of Arden Inn,
but ive not been in there for quite some time!

It has been bought out and re-furbished,I think by the Last Orders group.

It's quite pleasant in there now and cheap.:drink::drink:

Reading all your stories sounds that you all had a great time in those days, loved reading about the deck.Aint nothing like that today thats why i dont go out.
