Jacz studio top end of Clayton, Whalley road , is the shop where Billy Bacigalupo had his barbars shop, so its still doing hair. We went to Bill Faulds across from the top club, on Whalley Rd, sold French letters as well as individual fags,

Alan, can you remember when that shop called Maddy's was owned in the early 50s by Joe Brady. He had some connection to Clayton Harriers. My hubby used to go in buy hot buttered muffins.

Yea Irene, The brady's had the shop till the mid 60s, Mrs Brady then worked as a nursing sister at Brockhall when I was there a lovely woman, They lived at Langho then, their son Peter died young, Ann is still around my dad said.

my first barber was armondo's on whalley road in accy center just up from marys music


my friends used to use a fella in clayton called nutty norman

he got the name nutty norman because no matter what you asked for everyone got the same short hair cut which he acheived by going feckin mental with a pair of clippers
