when the cmos battery ine one of my old pcs was naffed.. it kept going back to the same date and time each time.

Got CMOS batteries as per Less but not dismantled the netbook yet...

Took on board suggestions to check time zones and beggar me yes indeedy it was set to Canadier (sic).
Also set for update offa t'internet.

Gonna run with that for a few days and see.
Thanks muchly for all advice gratefully recieved.
I'll update you after next weekends "Lads n Dads" to Benidorm, I won't be taking the machine there ;)
