Spam!!
 

Is there any way to stop it?

I have 3 e-mail accounts 1. A yahoo one I use for a news group, I never get un-wanted spam in this one.

2. My hotmail account I've had 13 spam mails already today and it's only tea time, this is the same every day.

Worst by far though is my outlook express account .......... 96 e-mails and only 3 of these are things I have requested. Any sure way to stop them or are they just a necessary evil?

Yeh its so annoying though i've found something that seems like it could shift the unwanted spam mails called mailwasher, i've heard its good giving it a go myself

Mind you i dont use outlook express theres some for that on the 2nd link in post 3:D

Spam is your junk mail ads etc & phishing is like fake ebay & bank mails that get put onto fraudsters site if you are daft enough to do it :D.

Tho i dont have problems with my gmail their spam filter is good so much i put all my other accounts thro it & does put spam in spam folder & good mail in inbox & has been rarely wrong like the others:D so might not really need mailwasher.

So you can't actually stop them being sent to your pc, it's just your e-mail thingy that filters them into junk mail or proper mail?

Its just my normal email thingy cos i use webmail by google basically sorts em out & put them in the right places then it automatically deletes after 30 days or you select all & delete yourself, i haven't anything that actually removes it before it gets to me, mind you having express & if you hae all your accounts going into express then theres plenty from post 3 link to chose from. I removed mailwasher its an email client as well as spam remover.
