Accrington Linux

Well we did have a Accrington Linux website run by entwisi on roys forums but he sold those free forums and since then entwisi hasn't been able to access the admin panel and the site has just become full of spam.

So, I've created a new linux forum for us, obviously there will be changes such as more forum sections but for now we can keep it small as there won't be that large a number of users.

Everyone is welcome, whether you use linux or are just interested in using it in the future :)

What is it for? I may be able to help as I have some software similar to the ones used on these forums that you can use. PM me if you want some more details and a link to the site I' currently running.

It's for a course in plain English, it saves the rest of us trying to interpret what you are on about.

Seriously, I think you will find Cyfr is trying to get a site re-started for anyone in this area that may be tempted to dip their toes into the fascinating waters of the Linux operating System.:)

All I'm offering is some help, I hate PhpBB which is what he is running his forums on at the moment and all I was offering is a little help with setting up a better site. Sorry if it all got a little complicated for you. Thanks for the explanation anyways.

Its not complicated for people, we may just make our own minds up.

If the software you spepak of is open source/freeware you are welcome to post a few links so we can make our own minds up or just google around it to see if it is actually 'better'

If its commercial stuff that your trying to resell then kindly keep it to yourself.

Highly customizable if not slightly generic.

I already have the software but it sounds very much like you don't want my help. Fair enough and I wish you good luck with the site.:D
