Before buying a eurovox have a read of this forum Satkings - Uk Itgate Forums you might decide you would be better off with a different box. Would you like to be able to record with it? Several of the boxes have internal or external hard drives for recording. They sell several different boxes and appear to give excellant support to forum members.

Its a dodgy cable box that receives all the channels on cable except the on demand and pay per view stuff. So you would get all the sky movies and sport etc. It is of course illegal as your are stealing Virginmedia's intellectual rights I think is the legal term for it.

It's obtaining goods by deception. The box itself is perfectly legal, it's the connection thats illegal.

I am not sure if plugging the box into the cable is illegal, it might be a breach of your t&c's. It is only illegal if you are watching subscription channels you have not paid for. There are free channels on cable just laike satellite and terrestrial. The difference might be that it is their cable you have to physically connect to.

Not sure about the specifics of actually connecting up being illegal. Virgin have their own freeview box. I think to get their freeview you have to subscribe to the broadband service.

these box's are available to buy openely in germany as you are encouraged to a certain extent to view your own channels there - if that makes sense...the boxes are not illegal but watching premium channels on them is.

So are you trying to convince me you want a standard box with standard firmware and that you won't be flashing it with the autoupdating firmware? :rolleyes::D
