does anybody know if there is software that makes PDF forms that people can fill in electronically and save, email or print the form, if its free the better but if not im willing to pay if its a good price.

I used to use this, free but it opens an advert page up everytime you save or open a file - can't remember which, pay if you want to have it removed but its easy enough just closing the page.
Not sure about the 2nd bit though

I was asking the chap at PC world the exact same question on Sunday. He gave me the following sites

pdf 995: create PDF documents easily for free

Plus, he said you could find one on the BBC website

I haven't checked them out yet.

There a a few PDF creators that are free to use. But isn't the OP asking asking for a PDF editor ? I was assuming it meant being able to open PDF's and editing them.

Editing PDF's is not like editing a word document, they are more like a picture than a real document

Some forms are on pdf but you can write on them. You can't change anything that's already on there on the form but you can fill in your details. Awards For All form is like that.

I thought you had to use their program for filling it in or was that another one?

I have used Adobes own editer and is was pants. You could not really do much with it, unless I was using it wrong.

And you can get some that you can mark corrections on.

No, I don't think you do, it's kind of hybrid between word and pdf. It's a pdf file but it seems to use word for filling in the info and when you save it it saves as pdf.

Awards For All

To demo - click on the link and go to application form pdf and see what I mean.

This is why

Quote:

A PDF file allows you to download and print information quickly and easily.

To open and type into PDF files, you will need to use the latest version of Adobe Reader.
If you have an earlier version of Reader installed on your machine, you may not be able to see all the features in our PDFs.
It must be a newer feature since version 7 of Acrobat Reader

Hi All.
Been reading this thread and puzzling over exactly what it means.
Portable Document File, OK, but so is a sheet of paper.
Will this PDF allow me to import all my digital images of old news papers, and make them searchable.
