Help with daughters mobile phone please
My Daughter has just got a new mobile phone.
With it came a memory stick mirco m2 memory card. Previous to this she had the same make of phone but a different memory card in it! Why phone companys can't keep to the same type of memory card is beyond me!! Right, she dropped her old phone into a bowl of rice crispies (don't ask!). The phone will not switch on anymore. However, she has transferred all of the pictures and music she had on that memory card to the computer (we have an adaptor like card that the memory card slots into and then into the sd slot on the computer) However, we have no adaptor with the new micro m2 card. Anybody any ideas as to how she can get all her stuff back onto her phone from the computer? Any help appreciated, and in simple terms please http://www.blackburn247.com/forums/i...lies/smile.gif |

Re: Help with daughters mobile phone please
any other phones in the house that will take the SD card? you can put them on that phone then bluetooth them across.
There are sites on the net where you can upload photo's too (zedge is one) then connect to the internet with the phone and download them - providing you have internet access on yer phone |
Re: Help with daughters mobile phone please
plug it in and teh phone will normally show up as a spare drive just like the card reader.
You will also find tah the CD that came with teh phone has teh relevant software on it to allow you to do stuff like this. Another option is if your PC has bluetooth but that can be a bit slow(unless its BT2.0 which is faster) |
Re: Help with daughters mobile phone please
Can you not bluetooth them from the PC to the phone?

Re: Help with daughters mobile phone please
Thanks. We have plugged the cable in, and the device is showing as removable disk I.
However, when we try to transfer it asks us to insert a disk into removable disk I. Where am I going wrong? |
Re: Help with daughters mobile phone please
I can't recall if M2 has it(as I've never had a M2 based phone) but some have a write protect switch. make sure its not 'locked'. you also need to ensure the memory card is inserted properly. You may need to install the phone software

Thanks everybody, but she has managed it. She did it with the cable to phone thing. Don't know how she managed it, but she has now gone to bed a happy little girl (needless to see with the phone!) Thanks again :) |
