BBC NEWS | Technology | Microsoft disconnects Xbox gamers BBC - Newsbeat - Xbox gamer 'gutted' after cut off |
Re: XBox live
lol not to worry there working on a totaly new firmware for teh xbox drives so if your running a flashed drive and arnt yet banned keep off live until its released and get it reflashed, testing has been in progress and so far none of teh units tested have been banned so its looking good so far
what made me laugh was bbc radio 1's so called expert saying its effecting 360 consoles that are modchipped, no xbox 360 consoles are modchipped the dvd drives are re programed to accept pirate games which is a totaly different thing if there is anyone banned there are alternatives to xbox live if you want to play online but they arnt as good obviously but better than nothing XBConnect Leaf Networks - Connecting people with devices only downfall is that most if not all games are ping limited to lower than 30ms or no connection can be made The ping deal is that if your playing your buddies over a short distance, like same city or close by city it works, you just won't play many games across the whole country. havnt tested these myself yet as i am not banned but i used to use xboxconnect on my xbox 1 and had no problems playing online for FREE :D |
Re: XBox live
For xboxconnect, I take it that you run that on a PC & your xbox connects via that?
Was it easy to setup & did it cause lag at all? |

What did he expect would happen? If you use pirate stuff you can't complain when it stops working. When you read the article it sounds like he feels hard done to :D:D:D |

as for lag it all depends o how good the hosts connection is, i havnt used it for 360 so cant comment how 360 game shandle it because they are designed to disconnect if connection is poor |
Re: XBox live
Microsoft claim to have banned 1 million customers so they have just lost £25 million in un renewed xbox live subscriptions plus previously banned consoles who wont be renewing
i know they are trying to stop pirated games but they cant so instead of just loosing money on games they have now lost money from people paying for xbox live which is daft really because at least they were getting some money back from the pirate games users most people i know who have been banned dont care as they are happy not to be paying £50 a game and see xbox live as somthing they knew they could loose so were half expecting it sony provide FREE online gaming if anyone is trying to decide between a 360 or ps3 the 360 may well be a better machine but ps3 has free online gaming and unlike the 360 if you buy a map you can share it a certain number of times with a friend where as with teh 360 you have to pay for online gaming and pay for maps which you alone can only have oh and microsoft never fixed the red ring of death issue despite claiming they fixed teh issue they havnt so expect any machine you buy to break and be constantly sent back to microsoft you can get a 360 re-flashed for about £15-20 and pay around £10 for 3 games so whos really loosing out here by these bannings pmsl I AM NOT OFFERING TO FLASH 360 UNITS OR PROVIDE GAMES |

Re: XBox live
Serves em right really.
If you have a chipped box you can modify the game & thats not fair to those of us that have not got that ability. Its always those with chipped boxes, getting the games before the rest of us that have the high scores & know the glitches inside & out. |
Re: XBox live
its a risk they are willing to take and yes i agree they have no rightto cry about it if they got caught but i also aint gonna cry for microsoft who charge ridiculous prices for games and have also gotten away with building the worst built console in history where other companies woud have had to do a total recall of tehir product microsoft got away with continueing to make faulty units and sell them
also who in tehir right mind is going to pay £30 plus per game for a nintendo ds when you can buy a card for around £20 and fill it with games for free if these greedy sods want to cut out piracey they should lower prices so that buying the origional is more attractive then more people will buy their games legaly |
