Mr Jobs has issued instructions on how to hold the phone ..

Steve Jobs responded to a query about the problem from one owner by saying: "Just avoid holding it in that way."

The official advice is to "avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band".

I actually had a play with one at lunch ( A colleague is a fan boi :D )

Soon as I held it in my left hand as you do to hold it to your ear it dropped 3 bars from full signal to 1. put it on the desk and it recovered.... :D:D:D:D

Now on positive side, the screen is lovely ( 960x640 res ) although most apps don't use SVG icons so they look blurry. it was snappy in use and did 'feel' quite nice and weighty in the hand although even 1 day in teh shiny back plate already had a scratch on ot so I can only wonder what it will look like of 12 months in pockets with change/keys/etc

I still don't want one though.

Iphones are the most scratchable item on the planet...........for what they cost i really would expect them to be scratchproof....although mine is in perfect condition in my paul smith case;)

Got the bumper mine seems to work fine, my issue is the need of itunes to control files/media/pics etc. My itunes always seem to naff up and add stuff i want to phone but soon as i plug it in it syncs then when i remove iphone off - ive lost media off ipod again - i have a lot stored but painstaking to keep restoring my ipod. Thought the whole point of syncing is to copy so both itunes & phone has the same stuff  seems my itunes just likes to sync to itunes only, really annoying and is peeing me off the iphone a bit - updates another arrghh.

Just a shame that apple have to have these great phones but dont incorporate that into the handset as far as the phone control is concerned & HAS to soley rely on pc itunes software to add stuff or even updates like other phones do......EVEN contacts i cant save copy to sim either [should the program wipe my phone] u again have to sync it to itunes and then to outlook - does anyone use outlook anymore i know i dont:(

My iphone rant:(
