You Tube Downloads!
 

Previously I used to put cursor over video and a download symbol used to come up and could select to down load a video - for some reason this no longer occurs and I see no indication of how to download from You Tube - anyone know what's going on? Perhaps something has been turned off? Or have You Tube changed something that I'm not aware of?

Cut and paste the whole Youtube.com line into your post.
I used to spend ages trying to do it until someone explained it.

Yes but that only cancels a 'like'-I tried it on you.
Where's the proper 'unlike', 'dislike', 'hate' button?

Hi Restless - I use Windows Explorer - previously when playing a you tube clip to put the cursor over the vid and a icon pops up which when clicked on would start the video downloading. Recently this seems to have stopped - do you know why? And what has replaced it as the way to download a vid? Cheers.

Is that your own youtube videos you want to download?

Install firefox or chrome and download an extension/plugin that will allow you to download from youtube....

No it's any video's! But how come I used to have no problem downloading and now suddenly it doesn't work? There always used to be an icon that came up saying "Download" when you clicked on it then the video you were watching down loaded on to the computer!

I dont recall seeing a button that officially did that... You didn't install a program that added the button?

Youtube are now blocking those downloader plugins for lots of stuff because of all the breaches of copyrights.

I had a lot of my favourite songs/videos on Youtubefm. Half of them are now blocked off.
