Spam Mail
I suppose I'm not on my own, but I receive around 30 spam emails per day, they're a flaming nuisance, wouldn't it be great if, when deleted, they bounced right back at the sender, clogging up their systemhttp://www.4smileys.com/smileys/angr...ry_smileys.gif

Re: Spam Mail
I normally get very little spam, but recently YahooMail 'improved' their services..........which meant all that my learned preferences were lost, and I am having to re-educate my system to what I consider to be SPAM........in the first few days the amount of spam I received could be 20 messages in an hour(it drove me daft -seeing stuff for payday loans and gambling sites in my mailbox - not ot mention viagra)........but I am something like 3 or 4 weeks since this event and I have noticed that the spam is starting to drop off again...or go directly to my 'spam' folder.........I hope YahooMail leave it for a long while before they try to improve the site again.

Re: Spam Mail
I use windows live mail for my email, and it has a block option for junk mail, I can either block an individual email address or a domain name. This appears to work in most cases, although if they send with a slightly different name etc I have to block them again. I still get spam, but not on the scale that some members seem to be getting them.

Re: Spam Mail
No it wouldn't because that would tell them they had found a live email account.
I get very few spam emails, most of them are because I have live email addresses on places like the Charity Commission website but I can't do anything about that. What do you do to give your email address away? Do you use your ISP's email account? I don't, I use a Windows live account and several google ones and I find them very good at filtering out spam |

I also ask people that I forward e-mails to, to remove my name and e-mail address if they are going to forward my post on to someone else(though I don't forward many e-mails these days).......this is another way to reduce spam...but many people don't do it or know how to do it. My spam has gone down, yesterday I only had 21 spam e-mails and they were all where they should be...in the junk mail file. I know that an odd one will still sometimes land, but I can cope with that. |
Re: Spam Mail
I am with Virgin and all spam is blocked out, and put in a different file which is deleted after 30 days. I have just looked at the file and there was 166 from 1st March until today. I have deleted them.

Re: Spam Mail
Mine was like that, until they upgraded the progam.
It was rare that spam got to my inbox.....but I'm getting there...again. |
Re: Spam Mail
That's the problem with the Viagra one, it'll keep popping up. :D

Am I lonely or what?
I love the penis extension ads and folk letting me know where I can get the cheapest Viagra, it means someone, somewhere, really does care about me and wants me to have a happy life. |
