OK Bezz I know I tease you in the chatroom about them but I actually admire what they have done. I live with a massive FCUM fan, he hasn't missed a match home or away, keep your eye out for him he's the one with the MARGENTINA flag lol! He's taken the girls to watch them, they loved every minute and came home chanting (though I did have to give the oldest a glare when she told me what she was chanting at the away goalie! ) Their enthusiasm is contagious ...... so much so that I have got roped into watching them when they play Harwood at IES, so I'll let you know what I think after that match.

Just one thing ..... I might not be so polite if and when they play the mighty Stanley ;)

How do Bezz I dont think I have to say alot its the best thing to happen in football for along while, well at least since 1999 & the treble. The sooner the gnome goes back to the states the better but even then I dont think FCUM will go,they're here to stay.:D

That was the last straw on the donkeys back.. it wasnt the reason.. the idea has been floated about for a few years..recent events pushed it into realisation. I have never been a fan of anything from manchester.. But I support everything they are doing... and the crowds are going up not down...

Yeah seen the pics there good Kipax:) As for the monies gained by the rest of teams in league, most of them are getting twice what they made last season in one game.We seem to have a loyal fan base of about 2,300 and growing, who follow the team 100% home & away.Like my self I havent missed a game yet & its good value and very entertaining stuff they seem to be playing all for just £7.Which was another reason for the split, stupid hiked up ticket prices which will only get worse.

its not affected the support of man utd which was the idea wasnt it

Re: your views on FC United of Manchester

That was not the idea behind the forming of the club. They knew that if 10 thousand left then 10 thousand day trippers would be there to take there place. However the atmosphere has been effected at OT and the ever present flags have all dissapeared. some that had a set place for years. OK no big deal but it was never going to be.

The main reason was to get away from being treated as a pound sign. from being stopped from enjoying the matchday experience by so many rules and regulations. To be treated as fans and to see players giving 100% for the club. Rio Ferdinand also helped a lot of people take the step over. Yes the quality of football is a million miles apart.. But so is the passion and commitment from players and fans.... For FCUoM its real.. For MUFC it was lost years ago.

Yes that is correct Kipax, the vast majority of the players are Man Utd fans, the only exception to my knowledge being Steve Torpey.Who is a self confessed Kopite from Warrington, but it all makes for good banter.:)
