Burnley Fan sues Burnley FC

Just seen News northwest on Beeb & a woman is suing Burnley FC for being hit by a ball during the match when she got up to go & get refreshments the ball hit her on the head, she says she suffered blurred vision since being hit by the football. Still hasn't stopped her to going to matches though.

mmmmmm isn't that par of course that the ball does get kicked into crowd not intentionally:confused: i know when im at a football match see a ball coming you duck pmsl!!!! Is it gonna be start of netting round terraces & spoil atmostsphere specially with flagging attendances anyhow, how responsible is the club & the potential of this case effect football.

flippin ridiculous if you ask me......

1. she chose to sit behind the goal
2. she got up from her seat whilst the game was still being played
3. she reckons she's only doing it cos the club didn't apologise!!!

yeah right, why should a club apologise for a ball going astray into the crowd???!!!!

Hmm wonder if the earlier comment about compensation has any merit?? errrr?? yeah I reckon it does...

Its such a hassle at footy matches now, what happens if your pies to hot or your bovril is lukewarm, could the club be liable? Could she sue Burnley for being crap? What if the manager picks a team that loses and if a certain player was playing they could have won, could you sue for loss of your pools money?
