World Cup - How do you think England will do?
 

I know it was bound to happen so I thought a Scotsman might as well do it. How does everyone think England will do in the world cup? The reason I ask is I've had a £10 bet with a mate who "knows a lot about football" and he said that England will reach the final. I disagreed, and before you all start saying it's sour grapes cos Scotland didn't qualify and are rubbish I already know that, however I honestly want England to do well (not win it obviously) as my partner is English and I've lots of English friends. So what do you think?

would love england to win it- but they wont if they carry a passenger in the squad,talented though he is,it would be a complete waste of a player.:(

Well, 'im indoors is a Scotsman and has lived with this Lancashire Lass for a few years! He'll be watching all of the England matches and praying for them to win. The general feeling from the ex-pats, here in Tenerife, is that they will get as far as the quarter finals.

I hope they will go all the way and pick up that trophy.........go for it England!!!

you prob won the bet.. but you don't want england to win it? i will always remember the scot song in 78.. "the english canny win it cos they didney qualify".. ha ha thanks,

Two things to point out Mancie..........1, Ally is no longer our manager (Walter Smith last time I looked) Ally was 28 years ago and 2, I already stated we are pants at the mo so is pointing it out again justified? No! Cos I started the thread asking what people thought how England will do not and not as a "jock" bashing excercise.
