Diouf ...Oh No!!!

Well its happened...my second worst nightmare...we've signed Diouf (1st was Joey Barton btw!)...reading the Sun this morning, i wonder why Sunderland have let him go?. Suppose we have to trust Big Sam...he says we will grow to Love Him!!...I'm glad i dont sit in the Front Row though!! Lol!....It seems really strange to me though, signed him, and letting Derbyshire go "on loan"...but probably not wanted anymore...i know which one i'd prefer, but hope i'm proved wrong!

Best Regards - Taggy

Diouf is one of those players you would love to have on your team. But hate if there not ;)

I noticed that Matt Derbyshire hadn´t been playing much lately - has he been injured or just dropped off in terms of his performance? Hopefully Sam knows what he is doing in the "game plan". Will Diouf be playing today against Middlesborough? Never heard of him....is he French?

Derbyshire aint bin cutting it lately, fer whatever reason, loaning him is a good solution i think. Diouf is from Sengal i think, a far better footballer than Matt, at this point, ok aint overkeen on his character but a damn good footballer is my two cents.:)

He's doing a job a British footballer could be doing, so I hope you'll be picketing the turnstiles! ;)

Good player if he keeps motivated.

And we all know for a fact Sam can do that.

Re: Diouf ...Oh No!!!

I must admit to being rather pessimistic about Diouf, but Big Sam certainly knows him, and if anyone can get the best out of him, he will. However i'm afraid i really dont think he is that good a player. You can understand managers and fans putting up with the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo, and Gazza and Bestie, because of the genuine talent that they have. We can all remember great bits of skill from the likes of them, but i genuinely cant think of a Single highlight from Diouf apart from his diving, spitting, or abuse of fans and other players. I really hope i'm proved wrong here and things work out, but i can see him being a devisive figure in the dressing room, particularily if he doesnt play every game. I can understand why people think that Matty has underperformed, but can anyone recall him ever being given 6 or 7 consecutive games where he has played from the off? He's often been the scapegoat when others hav'nt been performing any better, and has been used out of position many times too. Its usually the case that younger, homegrown players are the ones to suffer, because managers have to back up players they have brought in, but Mattys still only young, and i really hope he's still got a future at Rovers, i still rate the lad.

Time to resurrect an old thread, you don't get much more honest than Neil Warnock ;)

I think for many years I think he's been the 'gutter' type of boy. I was going to call him a sewer rat, but that might insult the sewer rats. I think he's the lowest of the low.

Re: Diouf ...Oh No!!!

Apparently the dirty sod was verbally abusing Jaime Mackie (QPR) yesterday as he lay on the floor with a double leg break. Its disgusting behaviour from someone who is supposed to be a role model, thankfully most people see him for what he is and do not hold him up as a role model for their kids anymore after his previous serious indescressions. More over its discusting behaviour from someone who is supposed to be a professional, you might see the likes of that happen in drunken sunday league games, but for him to do that is completely inexcusable, its just a shame he can't be banned for it.

If I were Steve Kean I'd be looking to offload him in this transfer window to anyone and anywhere!!!! Its not as if he is one of rovers better players either, there is no place in the british game for the likes of him.

Sorry rant over!!!! lol
