History Repeated?

A wonderful review of today's p[apers this morning concerning the Football World Cup.

The French surrendered early, the Yanks turned up late, and the British (well the English) had to face up to Germany again.

How poetic!:)

Well if I remember a bit about history we did beat the Germans twice when it really mattered 1914/18 1939/45;)

Will try and dig out a photo of the Hotel International in Dieppe - last time we stayed there.
All the flags outside the hotel - Canadian and all EU flags except the German one. I asked about the omission and was told that a German flag would never fly above that town again - they have long memories and the Canadians and Brits are thought of very highly.
