Disgusted

I want to know why Sunderland FC have decided not to wear poppies today. How many service personel have to die before they think it's a worthwhile cause to support.

Don't know how it can be an oversight.

Re: Disgusted

Some teams wear them at the nearest home game to the 11th. They wore them last week against Stoke. I think Watford may have done the same because somebody commented they didn't wear their's yesterday

All twenty Prem league clubs have worn poppies on their shirts at some time over the last week

Re: Disgusted

Sunderland didn't wear them today. They didn't play yesterday, so, therefore only 19 teams wore them.

I'm nearly sure I read somewhere that these shirts were only worn once and afterwards auctioned, with the proceeds going to armed forces charities

They are auctioned off with all money usually going to the Poppy Appeal
